We are in central northern Namibia. In this episode, we traverse the Khowarib Schlucht, a gravel plain leading through a deep gorge with rivers cutting through it, on route to the Kaokoveld. Thick sand slows our progress, but our riverbed camp under the light of the magnificent Milky Way Galaxy, it’s all worth the effort. But the drone proves a disappointment again.
